Can biomechanics tell us anything useful about gait and balance with different prosthetic devices?
A prosthetic device has the potential to transform the life of the user. The benefit may take many forms but often a focus for clinicians and patients are improvements in mobility and safety. This seminar will outline some research on how biomechanical analysis has been used to assess the influence of prosthetic devices on the user. We will discuss some lessons learned and talk about where we might go in the future.
